We believe that all vision is from God, and all things are possible through God.

(CHRISTOLOGY: WHO IS JESUS?)
Christ loves us only because He chose to do so. He calls us to become His children and become reconciled to life through redemption. Doubters are challenged by an authentic proclamation of Jesus, and newfound seekers are empowered to ask tough, probing questions about faith. Our response to Jesus is obedient worship with our lives and all we are, and others come to know who Jesus is through our ecclesiology and missiology as a church.

(ECCLESIOLOGY: WHAT IS THE CHURCH?)
The church is the continuation of Jesus. As we acknowledge who Jesus is with our lives, we live Jesus out in the open giving fame and honor to His name. By becoming a community of Christ followers who faithfully worship Jesus in all areas of our lives – resources, time, families, friendships, careers, and hobbies – we share Jesus with the world and make known the manifold wisdom of God. As we die to ourselves we become God’s instruments of ministry, edifying followers and bringing them into full maturity.

(MISSIOLOGY: HOW DO WE ACCOMPLISH THE GREAT COMMISSION?)
Because Jesus is worthy, we work to reorient our lives around Him. Although God is sovereign and does not need our help, it is our blessing and a lifeline of spiritual health to be on mission with Him and to love others as He does. We will not be a community of followers who are ingrown, afraid of risk and fearful of loving our city. Instead, we will take risks and immerse ourselves into culture as far as possible while still honoring Jesus. By being on mission with Christ, we work to redeem people from worshiping themselves to worshiping Jesus. We share the gospel in both word and deed with the marginalized populations.
We also believe that the Kingdom of God is in a state of “already but not yet.” We want Vintage21 to be an attractional church that draws people in so we can teach them to worship Jesus and join the mission. However, as a Jesus-centered church we know that followers can’t be on mission with Christ if they are always at church and are never living out Jesus within the culture. We strive to challenge followers to live out the gospel and contextualize it in their own lives. We also do not want to skip over the hard teachings of Jesus. Instead, we reorient our lives to Scripture and choose depth over width, digging into the gospel for life-changing meaning. We want to teach followers to take ownership of their own personal spiritual development. We labor to communicate with the absolute highest respect, avoiding church politics.
Our role in the local church is to serve Jesus. We will interact with each other with honor and in truth, giving Jesus rightful sovereignty in all things.
