Paul continues his humbling letter to the Corinthian church by placing a mirror up to their church. The foundation he laid is Jesus Christ, and he asks "What are you building on that foundation?" We are held to account for all of our actions and words, and Paul warns the Corinthians and, in essence, Christ followers today, to take heed of their lives.
I Corinthians 3:19: "If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise."
I Corinthians 3:8: "Each will receive his wages according to his labor."
What is your understanding of grace? Grace is the forgiveness of God. Grace is the empowerment to sin no more. Grace uniquely equips you to find joy in the building of God’s Kingdom. Where are you not experiencing the grace of God?
The foundation is Jesus and He is all that matters. Yet the amazing thing about ministry is that God allows you to build on top of the foundation. What are you building? How are you building? All of your work will be manifest or seen, will it honor Jesus?
