A Light in the Alley 1 Corinthians 6:12-14
Listen to Audio

In our desire for freedom, humans do all we can to ensure we are in control. Paul argues in 1 Corinthians 6 that in such values we’re actually selling humanity short. We have been given something much greater in Jesus Christ- why do we settle for relationships and actions that only lead to damage and brokenness? Join us as Tyler Jones preaches from chapter 6 of 1 Corinthians.

“For our sake He made Him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” 2 Corinthians 5:21

Questions for Reflection

  1. We view freedom as a right to choose. God views it as a chance to become what you were intended to be. Is your view of freedom actually enslaving you? How can you gain God’s view of freedom?

  2. We have a low view of humanity as we treat each other with disdain and indifference. God views us as exceedingly valuable and traded His life for your life. Have you accepted this trade? Is it affecting you daily? How?

  3. As we begin to look at sexuality, do you have a low view of that as well? Do you treat it like a primal urge? If you are the temple of God how then will you live?
