A Light in the Alley 1 Corinthians 10:1-14
Listen to Audio

When's the last time you saw a golden calf? While your answer may be "never", Paul's writing in 1 Corinthians 10 about idolatry still applies to us today. Pastor Tyler Jones preaches on 1 Corinthians 10, and joins Paul in challenging us to rid our lives of the emptiness that results from worshiping things other than Jesus Christ.

Romans 1:21-25

For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things. Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.

Ezekiel 14:4

The Lord God: Any one of the house of Israel who takes his idols into his heart and sets the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and yet comes to the prophet, I the Lord will answer him as he comes with the multitude of his idols.
