Paul calls the Corinthian church in 11:1 to "imitate me as i imitate Christ". This is a bold claim, and one few followers of Christ are willing to make, mainly due a misunderstanding of this passage. The reality is, we are called to follow Jesus, not be Jesus. The work of the Holy Spirit in our lives is the testament to Jesus, not our own works.
