Part 3 of a 3 week series on Spiritual Gifts. This week, Pastor Tyler Jones preaches on the specific gifts of the Spirit. Listen to learn how these gifts were evident in the life of Jesus Christ, and examples in the church today.

I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. - Romans 12:1-2

You know that when you were pagans you were led astray to mute idols, however you were led. - I Corinthians 12:2

Woe to him who says to a wooden thing, Awake; to a silent stone, Arise! Can this teach? Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in it. - Habakkuk 2:19

There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. - Ephesians 4:4-6

As a result, he does not live the rest of his earthly life for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God. For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do—living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry. - I Peter 4:2-3

Teaching

The God-given ability to understand & communicate biblical truth in a clear and relevant manner so that there is understanding and application

Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers. - I Timothy 4:16

Helps

The ability to joyfully work alongside another and help that person complete the task God has given them. People with this gift tend to find joy in helping alleviate the burdens and responsibilities of others.

Whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave, even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. - Matthew 20:26-28

Administration:… steersman, pilot

The ability to give direction and make decisions that result in efficient operation and accomplishment of goals; includes the ability to organize people, things, information, finances, etc.

Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness. Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. - Romans 12:6-12
