1) On vacation, Paul sees thousands of people in Athens and he is greatly distressed that they do not know Christ. Athens was not “his” city, the people were not “his folk,” yet his heart was broken for them. Is your heart broken for your city and your world? How will it affect the way you live tomorrow?

2) The Epicureans were people who knew only the pursuit of pleasure; the next trip, the next orgy, the next party were the only things that motivated them. The Stoics were people who lived under the oppression of legalism. They suffered through life trying to make themselves pure with God. Are you an Epicurean or a Stoic? How have you missed Christ? How will you find depth and joy in your life?

3) The first thing Paul does in Athens is look for the Imago Dei --the image of God, as every culture is full of sin and full of the image of God. Paul then uses the culture of Athens as a platform, a pathway to share Christ. What are our platforms, our pathways? How can we use them in an honest and loving ways to share Christ? How can we learn/discover more pathways to be missional in the Triangle?
