The great thing about the Bible in general, and the book of Proverbs specifically, is that it has something for everyone regardless of life stage or gender. There are proverbs for children, teenagers and adults. Proverbs is written from the heart of a father to his son, which is really helpful because many of us didn’t have caregivers who adequately parented us. Many of us have recently looked in the mirror and realized we are now adults and are supposed to know how to “do life.” The bad news is not that we are adults; the bad news is that many of us are clueless about how to deal with our money, sexuality, and our business and personal relationships. Proverbs can help those of us who desire to have success “doing life” God’s way.
